Mr. Sammy Payne
Deputy Chief of Staff G-8 and the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management & Comptroller, Chief, Executive Services Division Office of the United States Army
Mr. Payne leads the Executive Services Division (ESD) consisting of 4 Branches: HR, Civilian/Military, Resource Management, Staff Action Control Office (SACO), and Support. ESD provides customer service support to approximately 650 personnel and administrative services to HQDA G-8 & Assistant Secretary of the Army, (Financial Management and Comptroller). The G-8 team works to plan, develop, and resource programs supporting Soldiers by balancing Current Force needs with Future Force capabilities— focused on making the Army vision reality.
Mr. Payne is a human resource management professional with over 25 years of service to the Army both as a soldier and continuing his service as a civilian. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems, from National Louis University; Masters of Business Administration from the University of Pheonix; and Graduate Human Resources Certification, United Latino Students Association.
