Ms. Jeannette Beer

Director, Air Force Accounting Operations Center (AFAOC), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Financial Management and Comptroller

In this capacity, Ms. Beer directly oversees the Air Forces’ central hub for all field and operational support questions. Her office is charged with assisting FMers across the Air Force (AF) to answer functional and technical issues that arise throughout daily mission duties. Her office is separated across two teams; Customer Support Division (CSD) and Technical Support Division. The CSD is primarily focused on assisting AF and DFAS FM system users. This involves tracking and resolving issues, championing critical DEAMS system corrections/fixes, overseeing patch validation efforts, and sustainment training. The Technical-side is more focused on the back-end system operations of DEAMS, such as monitoring system operations, publishing performance analytical products, publishing communications, system administration, security management, and compliance efforts such as conducting the DEAMS Annual Access Review. She also oversees a variety of centrally managed FM programs. Her office’s mission to provide continual customer support and user assistance to the field is essential for success for both Legacy and DEAMS users.

Ms. Beer began her federal civil service career in 2008 at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service working a variety of operational, accounting, and project management positions. She transitioned to the Air Force in 2012, serving as the DEAMS Customer Support Division lead and then spearheaded the transformation of the organization to standup the AFAOC as the Deputy Director. She has been the Director of the AFAOC since 2020 and has been essential and influential with the implementation of PowerBI Cloud Reporting and maximizing communication across various mediums to ensure critical information is shared timely and clearly.

Ms. Beer is a PMP, holds a Defense FM Certification, Level 3 and is an accomplished leader with over seventeen years of experience in federal and private sector business transformation, system development, change management, and customer support.
